In 1984, Nike launched the Nike Air Jordan and conquered the world in one fell swoop. Combining the worlds of sports and fashion with its luxurious appeal, the design is now a street classic. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'Chicago' 2015 colorway was designed to avoid Jordan being fined $5,000 by the NBA after the original black and red colorway was banned. 'Chicago' was first retro-designed in 1994 and continues the 1985 design. A further retro design was released in 2013, with minor changes to the design, and again in 2015 with the original branding details: the Nike Air logo on the tongue and the original clean heel without the Jumpman logo.
The Jordan 1 Retro Chicago (2015) features a premium leather upper in white, red, and black, with a white panel for the base, college red overlays all around, and dark black accents that complement Nike "Swooshes" and other accents. From there, a minimal "Nike Air" logo and a red outsole that matches the traditional colors of the famous Chicago Bulls complete the design.
