One of Nike's styles, the Dunk Low is now back with playful cartoon details.
Through the fictional "club of the sun," Dunk Low was able to experiment with vibrant pastels, new materials, and a variety of cartoon graphics. While the latest iteration of the style may not be in the same collection, it does retain some playful vibrancy. Even at a glance you can tell it's not your average dunk low. The construction, while the same shape, uses a number of additional textures and elements: a thick open-woven mesh mid-panel, D-rings hang at the rear, and thick webbing adds length to the tongue.
Designed to welcome the sneaker's animated aesthetic, Nike's latest Dunk Low features a palette of cream, "tan," orange, "light blue" and yellow. The sneaker's beige overlays complement the brown outsole, toning down the muted lemon sole and bright orange tones. The outer quarter of the design has a mesh finish that complements the color of the outer side of the shoe. The design of the heel tab is influenced by the sun and the earth, each playfully giving the other a side eye. Rounded design, iridescent hooks hang below the heel tab at the top of the 'Grind Rubber' outsole for a decorative finish.
