In response to Jordan Brand's commitment to focus on local retailers and their communities, Jumpman's first collaboration on the continent launched the Air Jordan 2 Low proposition in partnership with the aforementioned brands. The brand was founded by Nick Herbert in 2006 as a graffiti supply store that originated in the bold art style of his hometown of Kalk Bay, Cape Town. The brand's "TEAM ONLY" ethos continues to revolve around creative visualization in the medium, bridging the gap between international and local markets.
Immerse yourself in the blank canvas that appeals to all graffiti artists, with smooth white leather filling the fenders and collar, while rugged suede treated with "Light Bone" runs throughout the upper, quarter and tongue construction. Available in a single-tone spectrum swatch, the titular shade of "Safety Orange" anchors the laces, a winged logo placed on the tongue and a "shelf life" branded insole. A contrasting, contoured molded heel sprouted a vibrant cream hue, while the established orange hue returned to the gear section of the tread, with an embroidered “TEAM ONLY” tongue sewn along the inner lining.
